Ever since the 3rd XI came into being, they have been playing their “home” fixtures “away”. A desire to see two games of cricket on a Saturday at “home” has brought about a brand new project. A second pitch. As ever, the Newby Hall Estate were very receptive to the Club’s plans and gave over the field adjacent to the existing one for a 3rd/4th XI ground. Below are some pictures showing the progress. November 2007 sees the new square covered in lush new grass and things are looking good for the 2008 season. The 3rds will be playing at home in 2008. |
